Meat and Potato Casserole

Ingredients:
Meat Mixture:
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 onion, chopped
1/4 kg ground beef
1/4 kg ground pork
3/4 cup diced ham
1 cup cooked green peas
1/4 cup chopped raisins
1 can (227 g) tomato sauce
2 tbsp chili catsup
1/3 cup water
salt and pepper

Mashed Potatoes:
1/2 kg yellow potatoes, boiled
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup evaporated milk
salt


Directions:
1. Immediately after boiling, mash potatoes until thick and lump-free.
2. Add margarine, milk and salt. Blend until very smooth. Set aside.
3. Saute garlic, onion, beef, pork, ham and green peas.
4. Add raisins, tomato sauce, chili catsup and water. Season to taste.
5. Simmer for 20 minutes or until tender. Pour mixture into pyrex dish.
6. Top witha layer of mashed potatoes. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
7. Serve immediately.

Makes 10 servings.
