Fish Kaldereta

Ingredients:
700 g labahita, cut into chunks
4 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp crushed garlic
1 onion, sliced
1 carrot, sliced
1 red and 1 green bell peppers, cubed
3 potatoes, quartered
8 tbsp spaghetti sauce
2 tbsp chili ketchup
3/4 cup water
salt, pepper and soy sauce

Marinade:
1 tbsp calamansi (phil lemon) juice
salt, pepper and soy sauce


Directions:
1. After marinating fish for at least 30 minutes, dredge in cornstarch.
2. Fry until golden brown.
3. Saute garlic, onions and vegetables.
4. Add spaghetti sauce, chili ketchup, water and fish.
5. Season to taste.
6. Simmer for 15 minutes. Serve hot.

Makes 6 servings.
Fish replaces meat.
